World reference in sustainability, Tanac passes annual audit for the legal and sustainability criteria required by the SBP and revalidates the certification

Tanac has just gone through the annual audit process of the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) and revalidate its certification, obtained in 2018. The achievement proves Tanac’s management systems demonstrate responsibility to the environment and the commitment to the balance between the use and preservation of nature’s resources.

SBP is a certification scheme for woody biomass used in energy production. The certification may be used to demonstrate compliance with the legal, regulatory, and sustainability requirements of the European Union.

Tanac is world leader in the production of plant extracts, woodchips, and pellets, from Black Wattle, being considered the largest producer of this tree in the world.

WOOD PELLETS

Wood pellets are products aimed at the renewable energy market segment, producing biomass energy for thermoelectric plants mainly in the European market.

Tanac is considered one of the 10 largest pellet producers in the world and the only one to produce them with the Black Wattle tree. The raw material stands out in the market because it has greater calorific potential, bringing a performance far above the direct competitors in power generation.

WOODCHIPS

Woodchips are focused on the segment of the pulp&paper industry, such as paper, hygiene products and fabrics.
